Where did the idea of Jaws originate?
The idea of Jaws originated from a book, and the fear of deep water and sharks.
Why were particular scenes removed from the film
A scene was left out of the movie because it was too violent, it included a man getting eaten alive by the shark with mass amounts of blood coming out of his mouth.
What was involved in the casting process?
During the casting process the creators of Jaws were searching for actors, this involved much thought into who would play good in certain roles.

Richard Dreyfuss - Matt Hooper
Murray Hamiton - Mayor Larry

What is location scouting? Why did Spielberg choose these locations?
Location scouting is when you try find a location best suited to what you would like to use. Spielberg ended up coming to Australia to film great white sharks. When Spielberg was location scouting for a area to film he picked a place that was not to deep but was far enough from land so that people don’t think that they are close to land and able to just go back, he wanted the audience to feel trapped
Describe how actors contribute to the production of jaws?
Besides the fact that the actors acting to contribute to the film, they also added lines including the now famous line “We’re gonna need a bigger boat”

What does a composer do? What considerations were tajen into account when writing the music for jaws?
The composer, writes or creates the music that plays in the music. The composers considered that the music should bring suspense.
What did Spielberg do as a result of the test screening?
Spielberg talks about the test screenings and says he wants to reshoot the Ben Gardner head in the boat scene
What is a D.O.P? How was the D.O.P involved in the production of jaws?
D.O.P stands for Director Of Photography. His role is to do physicals camera effects and work with the camera. In jaws the role was more like a camera mans role.
What does an editor do? Who was the editor on jaws and what his responisiblility was
An Editor puts together all the shots, while trying not to make the cuts to obvious, the editor also cuts out any bad scenes and adds some effects.
Based on the documentary, what are the responsibilities of a producer?
The producers Richard D. Zanuck and David Brown jobs were to obviously produce the film. O.o
What did the production designer do on the film?

What role do you think you have the skills to fulfill?
I think I’m best suited to fill the role of editor because I would like to cut the scenes together and ad some effects, I think it would be really fun and interesting to do so.
