What does the board do? The Classification board is like a filter between the producer and the audience, they make sure that the movie complies with the classification given. The classification given is judged by the amount of sexual content, nudity, violence and verbal content.
How important is the context in the decision making process?
Context is important in the decision making process because if there is a sexual nature or something along those lines it could be excepted because it is of a educational matter. For example if a film showed something like rape and the view on the killer was that you either felt sorry for him or were on his side the film would either have a high classification or wont be excepted at all but if the film showed rape and it was to show the killer as a bad person or was a true story it will be more likely to be excepted.

The Sound Designer
The sound designer is involved with post-production, they are in charge of all the sound in the movie. The sound designer works alongside the editor and director of the film to make the sound to there perfect. (Post-production)
Editor
The editor organizes the footage that is collected during the filming process, Known as the daily rushes. the editor also arranges individual shots into one continuous sequence. Even in a single scene, dozens of different shots have to be chosen and been put together from hundreds of clips of film. (production)
Production Designer
Before even the first clip is shot, it is the production designers job to translate the script into visual form. He or she creates a series of storyboards, these are considered the film’s first draft. A storyboard is a series of sketches arranged on panels to show the visual progression of the story from one scene to the next. (pre production)
Cinematographer
The Cinematograpger is responsible for capturing the handiwork of the production designer, art director and costume designer on celluloid (strip of film). The Cinematographer is an expert in photographic processes, lighting and the camera’s technical capabilities. When the director wants a shot to achieve certain visual or atmospheric qualities. During shooting, the director and cinematographer work closely to shape each shot, using the storyboards created by the production designer as a guide. This craft is referred to as cinematography. The Costume Designer
It is the costume designers role to design and create the costumes worn by actors on film. They work closely with the director to interpret the characters personality. during the production stage the costume designer is in charge of keeping the clothing organised for the actors. A scene was left out of the movie because it was too violent, it included a man getting eaten alive by the shark with mass amounts of blood coming out of his mouth.

What is location scouting? Why did Spielberg choose these locations?
Location scouting is when you try find a location best suited to what you would like to use. Spielberg ended up coming to Australia to film great white sharks. When Spielberg was location scouting for a area to film he picked a place that was not to deep but was far enough from land so that people don’t think that they are close to land and able to just go back, he wanted the audience to feel trapped

Besides the fact that the actors acting to contribute to the film, they also added lines including the now famous line “We’re gonna need a bigger boat”

The composer, writes or creates the music that plays in the music. The composers considered that the music should bring suspense.

D.O.P stands for Director Of Photography. His role is to do physicals camera effects and work with the camera. In jaws the role was more like a camera mans role.

An Editor puts together all the shots, while trying not to make the cuts to obvious, the editor also cuts out any bad scenes and adds some effects.

I think I’m best suited to fill the role of editor because I would like to cut the scenes together and ad some effects, I think it would be really fun and interesting to do so.
